Marma Tuesdays

Marma Tuesdays offer a guided, small-group adaptation of Marma Chikitsa, an Ayurvedic bodywork practice that is traditionally received one-on-one. In this class setting, the essence of Marma is woven into gentle movement, guided awareness, and self-applied pressure—making the practice accessible in a shared experience.

You’ll be guided through slow, intentional movements to gently open the joints, followed by a series of Marma (pressure point) sequences on the arms, shoulders, neck, face, back, head, and feet. The class concludes with a deeply restorative savasana, allowing time for integration and rest.

In Ayurveda, what Traditional Chinese Medicine refers to as acupressure points are known as Marma points (Marmāni)—vital meeting places of connective tissue, awareness, and life force. Working with these points supports the fascia, the connective tissue network that governs the nervous system and links the entire body. This practice does not involve deep muscle work. Instead, it offers a gentle, grounding approach that supports multiple systems of the body and invites deep relaxation, balance, and ease.
